Star House Treasures

For more than five decades I have dedicated my life to the arts in various ways, as an advocate working with children, a creative arts therapist, a teacher, program director actor and as a singer. It was when I began working with a clinical art therapist supervisor in Lowell, Massachusetts that I started experimenting as a visual artist. That experience created a strong core belief in me that broken things can be transformed and reimagined into something new. Recycling and repurposing reminds me that goodness and new life can come from the brokenness in our own lives.  I use paint, collage, broken china and natural and found objects to create inspired and unique works of art. The Open Art Studio which is free and open to all residents of the north shore of Boston, offers therapeutic workshops to adults and children using art and other artistic modalities.  I live in a small coastal town north of Boston with my two rescue cats, Sunny and Misty, and enjoy a small view of the harbor.
