All around us are signs of divine creativity. All we have to do is become aware. Look for the signs that will recharge your creativity. Last Spring as I traveled to my studio, my route took me past a lovely pond where the marsh nears the ocean. There are many beautiful things to see if you are open.
Last spring there were seven swans who visited the pond. Yes, I know it sounds like the Christmas song: Seven Swans a Swimming. But everything was in bloom, coming alive in this magical place. The year before I had found an old beat up wooden piece in the shape of a swan at the dump. At that time we had a swap shop where people left things that they no longer wanted or needed. It was a great place to find materials for my art work. It was a great way to recycle. I really didn’t have room for it. However I felt a nudge to take it. There was something so alluring about the swans presence. It was everywhere on social media. I had no idea it would manifest itself in my studio. I am so pleased that I stopped to pay attention to this gift from nature.

“The power of nature is such that it’s what all art strives to be. The more we can get in tune with the harmony of the planet, the more our art can benefit from that relationship.” - Rick Rubin
